Itinerary
Day 1: Pick-up from Kigali city, transfer to Akagera National Park for Game drive
Akagera is known as one of the most scenic savannahs in East Africa. After your breakfast,Early in the morning at 5 Am,our driver guide will be at your hotel, brief you about the tour before beginning your trip. Our driver will then transfer you to Akagera National Park Home of Big 5- Game Drives. On the way enjoy Landscapes and the hills of Rwanda, and on the game drive expect to see some animals such as elephants, Giraffes, lions, buffaloes etc. Have your lunch continue with a drive back to Kigali.Arrival at the hotel,relax, take dinner and rest. Overnight stay at One Click Hotel (Meal plan: dinner,Bed and breakfast).
Day 2: Early morning, pick up from Kigali to mount Bisoke hiking
After your early breakfast, you will embark on the 2,5hrs journey to Volcano national park. Make sure you're physically fit for the hike, it's a challenging one.Upon arrival get assisted with check in and get briefing at 7:30am,then after the hiking starts. Remember to pack light but be prepared for various conditions, and always prioritize safety and comfort during your hike. Overnight stay at da Vinci gorilla Lodge (Meal plan: Dinner,Bed and breakfast).
Day 3: Golden monkeys trekking – Transfer to Nyungwe national park
Wake up very early and take breakfast. After breakfast, head to the park for a briefing on golden monkeys trekking. The briefing takes place at 7:00am and is conducted by the head park guide or park ranger. It is compulsory to attend the briefing because it helps you prepare well and have all the relevant information you need during your time with the Golden monkeys. After briefing, you will go into the forest to track the primates. After that you should head back to the starting point to meet our guide. The Guide will take you back to the lodge for lunch. Later, head out for a drive, check out and you will be transferred to Nyungwe national park. Arrival with check in, refreshments and evening at leisure. Have dinner and rest. Overnight stay at Chimpanzee lodge(Meal plan:Dinner,lunch, Bed and breakfast).
Day 4: Undertake Chimpanzee trek + Canopy walk
We will start our day again early in the morning, after having breakfast by 5 Am we will be at the park reception.During chimpanzee trekking in Cyamudongo forest ,you can expect an adventurous journey through the dense rainforest of Nyungwe. Here's what you might experience: Guided Trek: You'll be accompanied by experienced guides who will lead you through the forest, helping you spot chimpanzee activity and ensuring your safety. Chimpanzee Encounters:As you trek, you'll listen for the sounds of chimps communicating and observe their behavior in the wild. Depending on the day, you may have close encounters or observe them from a distance. Hiking: Be prepared for moderate to challenging hiking conditions, as you navigate through uneven terrain and possibly steep slopes. Wildlife Sightings: Apart from chimpanzees, you might encounter other wildlife species such as birds, and other primates. Conservation Insights: Learn about the conservation efforts aimed at protecting chimpanzees and their habitat, as well as the challenges they face. Respect for Wildlife: Remember to maintain a respectful distance from the chimps, follow the guidelines provided by your guides, and avoid disturbing their natural behavior. After completing your trekking experience, return to the lodge for lunch. Check out and head to Canopy walk. The Canopy Walk in Nyungwe Forest National Park is one of the highlights of visiting this pristine rainforest in Rwanda.
